The HonkAPP lets users search, pay for, and top up parking directly from their smartphone, tablet or computer. No paper slip goes in the car windshield – the app seamlessly passes license plate numbers for paid sessions to parking enforcement for proof of payment. Users simply click, pay, and walk away.
Adding to the convenience, the app notifies users when their parking is set to expire, allowing them to buy additional time remotely and eliminating the need to rush back to feed the meter.
HONK charges a $0.25 convenience fee with every parking transaction which goes towards technology maintenance and customer service – ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience when paying for parking with the app. The fee either gets pushed to the user or the parking provider incurs the fee. City of London parking enforcement officers will be flyering vehicles to inform drivers about this limited time offer.
