HONK Launches Mobile Parking in Calgary
Drivers across the City of Calgary can now use HONK, the Innovative App Transforming Parking in North America
CALGARY, AB Jan. 31 2018 – HONK, North America’s fastest and most convenient way to find and pay for parking, today announced a major expansion in Western Canada with the launch of its services in the City of Calgary. HONK’s services will transform parking in Calgary by allowing motorists to search and pay for parking with the touch of a button, using any internet connected device.
The HonkAPP lets users search, pay for, and top up parking directly from their smartphone, tablet or computer. No paper slip goes in the car windshield – the app seamlessly passes license plate numbers for paid sessions to parking enforcement for proof of payment. Users simply click, pay, and walk away.
Adding to the convenience, the app notifies users when their parking is set to expire, allowing them to buy additional time remotely and eliminating the need to rush back to feed the meter.
HONK has partnered with Park Indigo, a leading parking lot operator to roll-out mobile parking services in Calgary. Park Indigo operates hundreds of private parking lots throughout Canada. This partnership gives HONK users access to a myriad of parking spots in Calgary’s downtown core. The announcement comes shortly after HONK’s launch in the City of Saskatoon – a sign of its rapid expansion in Western Canada.
