Effective immediately, HONK has taken over and replaced Telepark as the City of Burlington’s official mobile parking provider. Using any internet connected device, residents and visitors can pay for parking in downtown Burlington with the touch of a button. The launch in Burlington marks HONK’s 11th city expansion in Southern Ontario which is part of an extensive growth plan driven by consumer and operator demand for convenient, innovative and efficient solutions to paying for parking.
The HonkAPP allows residents and visitors to seamlessly pay for, and top up parking directly from their smartphone, tablet or computer. No paper slip goes in the car windshield – parking enforcement officers receive all paid license plates for proof of payment. Users simply click, pay, and walk away.
HONK’s innovative technology seamlessly integrates with Burlington’s pay-by-plate parking machines, eliminating the need to run back to the car to place that annoying paper slip on the dash. The app conveniently notifies users when their parking session is set to expire, allowing them to buy additional time remotely and avoid costly tickets.
HONK is determined to get drivers to their destinations faster. Just in time for summer, HONK’s fast and easy service will reduce traffic congestion around the waterfront and other busy areas. Drivers can begin using the app immediately to pay for parking in all city parking lots and on-street parking spots.
