TORONTO, ON, September 29, 2023 – HONK, North America’s leading provider of contactless payments for parking and mobility, is pleased to announce  that it has been named as one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies in the Globe & Mail’s 2023 Report on Business magazine. The nationally recognized list ranks Canada’s most successful companies based on their recent three-year revenue growth. HONK earned spot 225 out of 425 companies with an impressive profit increase of 199%.

Established in 2013, HONK provides contactless payment technology to municipalities, colleges and universities, real estate owners, airports, and private parking operators. Its mission is to replace hardware-based payment terminals with software-based solutions, which creates faster, more streamlined payment processes for  parking owners and operators as well as for drivers.

“HONK’s inclusion in this list of high-achieving companies is a testament to our ongoing pursuit of excellence and innovation in the parking industry,” said Michael Back, HONK Founder and CEO. “We are grateful that our cutting edge products and dedicated team have been recognized in this important way.”

Canada’s Top Growing Companies, an editorial ranking launched in 2019, aims to shine a light on the accomplishments of innovative businesses across the nation. In order to qualify for the voluntary program, all companies are required to complete an in-depth application process.

“Canada’s Top Growing Companies acknowledges the drive and ingenuity displayed by Canadian businesses,” says Dawn Calleja, Editor of Report on Business magazine. “This year’s ranking serves as an inspiration for future business owners.”

The Globe and Mail’s CEO, Andrew Saunders, noted that the economic challenges faced by today’s businesses are particularly difficult to meet and overcome. “This year’s winners are a prime example of how innovative ideas always rise to the top, perhaps even more so in times of uncertainty,” he said.
