BUFFALO, NY – March 4, 2020 – HONK, North America’s leading provider of electronic payments for the parking industry, announced today the completion of a successful eight-month pilot program with Allpro Parking. Allpro Parking is a full service parking and transportation operator with headquarters located in Buffalo, NY. Allpro Parking deployed HONK’s patent pending tap-to-pay payment technology – HonkTAP – at various parking locations in Buffalo, NY. Building off the success of this pilot, Allpro will now accelerate its expansion of HonkTAP at its locations in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Rochester.
HONK developed the tap-to-pay smart technology as an alternative to the traditional pay station or parking meter. During the pilot, Allpro Parking installed HonkTAP smart stations at 15 surface parking lots throughout Buffalo. Since the start of the pilot, Allpro Parking’s revenue generated through HONK has increased by 349%.
The implementation of HonkTAP proved both simple and cost-effective: HONK’s NFC-embedded smart stations were installed in parking lots as additional, low cost points of sale. With no app to download or account to set up, drivers simply tap their phones at the station to initiate payment. This contactless option gives drivers the fastest checkout process, meeting consumer expectations for quick and convenient ways to make everyday purchases. It is no longer necessary to line up at pay stations or wait for credit cards to process with this smart technology.
