TYLER, TX, October 13, 2026 — The City of Tyler, Texas has selected HONK, North America’s leader in contactless parking technology, as the digital payment platform for its re-established downtown parking program. Beginning October 12, drivers parking around the original downtown square can pay by text, QR code, or the HONK app, supporting steady customer flow to downtown businesses.
Drivers can pay on the spot by text or QR code with no download required, while those who frequently visit downtown for short weekday trips are encouraged to download the HONK app and create a HONK account.

Drivers in downtown Tyler can use HONK through three flexible channels:
- Text-to-Pay: Text 6905 to 75498 to receive a secure payment link to your phone.
- QR Code: Scan the QR code on the parking sign to open the payment link in your phone’s browser.
- HONK App: Download the free app on iOS or Android to find parking, pay, and track sessions.
