SASKATOON, SK, Nov. 30, 2017 – HONK, North America’s fastest and most convenient way to find and pay for parking, today announced a major expansion in Western Canada with the launch of its services in the City of Saskatoon. HONK’s services will transform parking in Saskatoon by allowing motorists to search and pay for parking with the touch of a button, using any internet connected device.

The HonkAPP lets users search, pay for, and top up parking directly from their smartphone, tablet or computer. No paper slip goes in the car windshield – the app seamlessly passes the paid license plates to parking enforcement for proof of payment. Users simply click, pay, and walk away. Adding to the convenience, the app notifies users when their parking is set to expire, allowing them to buy additional time remotely and eliminating the need to rush back to feed the meter.

HONK has partnered with Precise Parklink West, a leader in parking who operates hundreds of municipal and private lots throughout Western Canada, to bring its services to thousands of parking spots across Saskatoon. While HONK is now accepted throughout the City, there is a particularly large concentration in the downtown core, most notably in the Central Business District where parking is at the highest demand.

“HONK is revolutionizing parking across North America and we are thrilled to bring our service to Saskatoon,” said HONK Founder & CEO Michael Back. “Just in time for the cold winter months, motorists can now pay for their parking from the comfort of their vehicles, eliminating the need to take the time to stand at the parking meter in the freezing cold.”

HONK is on a mission to transform parking with a faster, more convenient and easier experience while helping our communities reduce congestion, pollution and wear on roads. Saskatonians can now skip the meter during the cold winter, and be on their way faster and warmer with HONK!
